During my research internship from August to October 2020, I helped develop a low-cost autonomous surface vehicle and docking approach under an FCT BII grant. The work combined vector-field guidance and camera-based target tracking, integrating an IMU, GPS, camera and Raspberry Pi 4 within the LSTS toolchain.

I also took part in the LSTS summer school on robotics for ocean observation, from August to September 2020.

Aerospace systems

I led Porto Space Team’s E-42 Software and Computer Engineering department for INVICTUS in 2022–2023, coordinating requirements, telemetry and simulation studies, mentoring members and compiling the technical report. I no longer contribute to the team. Read the project retrospective for the contributions, lessons and original materials.

My separate work on the ANTAEUS CubeSat project concerned on-board data handling and dependable computing. Interfaces, reliability and coordination were central engineering concerns.
