Privacy

This notice applies to diogo.site, www.diogo.site, cv.diogo.site and blog.diogo.site. These sites are treated as one personal web property for optional audience analytics.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Diogo Peralta Cordeiro. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to mail@diogo.site.

Essential technical processing

When a browser requests a page, the web server necessarily processes technical information such as the source IP address, date and time, requested host and path, HTTP status, referrer and browser user-agent. Limited server logs are used to deliver and secure the websites, diagnose faults and broken links, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents and produce aggregate operational statistics.

This processing is based on the legitimate interests of maintaining a secure and reliable service. Raw logs are protected from public access and retained only for the period required by the server’s rotation policy, or longer when needed to investigate a specific incident.

Optional Matomo analytics

Matomo analytics is disabled until you actively allow it through the privacy banner or settings panel on diogo.site. If enabled, Matomo records pages viewed, approximate visit sequence, time, referrer, broad browser and device information, an anonymised IP-derived approximate location, downloads and outbound links.

The lawful basis is consent. Matomo is self-hosted at analytics.diogo.site. Analytics data is not used for advertising, sold or deliberately shared with advertising platforms.

Cookies and local choices

The essential diogo_privacy cookie stores your privacy selection for up to 180 days across the covered subdomains. If analytics is allowed, Matomo may set first-party cookies beginning with _pk_. You can continue using every public page after declining analytics and can change your choice later.

Retention

Detailed Matomo visit data is retained for no more than 180 days. Aggregated reports that no longer identify individual visits may be retained longer to compare broad changes over time.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data, and may object where processing relies on legitimate interests. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Changes

This notice may be updated when the sites, analytics configuration or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
